I saw a post floating around on the internet, asking that this year at school, kids should reach out to those who are ostracized, bullied, left out.  Include them in your friend group.  Support them.  Defend them.  Bring  them into the fold.  It made me think of my experiences growing up.  I was that person who went out of my way to include others.  It had a long standing effect on others and myself.  I talk about that in this podcast today and how even more in these times of social media isolation and mass shootings, we need to include others in our lives in a more one on one, personal way, not this sterilized disconnected way.
