Colossians 2:9-10 NLT
For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body.* 10 So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV
“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” Being “in Christ” means that we receive life from Christ. His nature is now in us.
John 15:4-5 NLT
Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. 5 “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. Because a branch is connected to the vine, the branch is “in” the vine. It receives its life and nature from the vine.

But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.)

So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family. 20 Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets.
