Terralima's platform addresses the problem of inefficient and exploitative agricultural value chains that affect 33 million smallholder farmers in sub-Saharan Africa. These farmers, who contribute 70% of the continent's food supply, struggle with several interconnected issues. They receive only 10% of the market value of their produce due to unfair middlemen systems. They also suffer 40% post-harvest losses because of inadequate storage and transportation.
