In this episode, our guest is Dr. Karmen Stephens is the Vice President of Clinical at Consana. After graduating from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy in 2010, she went right to work for that same busy chain, but ultimately ended up in Long Term Care, looking for a way to improve patient care. A chance meeting with two technology companies changed all of that (ask her about it, she loves to tell the story!) and lead to the creation of Consana. They started Consana because to change the way that clinical pharmacy services are paid for and delivered. By doing this, they can help patients better manage their medications and chronic disease states and achieve better health outcomes. As the VP of Clinic, Karmen's primary responsibilities include strategic program development and implementation, including oversight of Consana clinical operations and service innovation.
