Culture connects the dots this way:
Purpose; Identity; Significance
What is the difference between success and significance?
Success: The attainment of popularity or profit.
Significance: The quality of being worthy of attention; importance.
Are YOU significant?
How you answer that question determines how you live your life.
Genesis 1:27
So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
You will not live a life of significance until you understand that you are significant!
If we connect the dots from the above process in a Biblical perspective, it looks like this instead:
Significance; Purpose; Identity
Big Idea:
Outside of Christ, we aim to attain Significance, in a relationship with Christ we start with the truth that you are significant.
Closing Thought:
If we are constantly chasing success rather than living from our significance, we will miss our purpose
