Connecting With The Wolf Spirit, Volunteering, and Advocating For Wolves with Sarah Hanafin- FYW2
Sarah has been working with wolves for over 8 years. Her journey began when she was asked to do reiki healing for 3 new wolf dog rescues. It was then she was brought in with their resident Gray wolves that would forever change her life. Growing up being bullied and being an abuse survivor, she felt like she never quite fit in. It wasn’t til the day she came face to face with Lomasi, a 100% pure gray wolf, that she felt like she was finally home and where she belonged.
Through her passion for wolves, she found an incredible community of people that share that same admiration. Finding out about wolf hunting and inhumane practices, being an abuse survivor and having the wolves become family, she knew she had to be a voice for them. What started as just wanting to share her love for wolves with a few friends grew an audience to be able to share that love and education to people all over the world.
“As someone that never had a voice being bullied and abused, the wolves helped me find my voice,” Sarah said. She has not only taken her circumstances and become a voice for wolves, but has turned that into a healing practice to help others heal from pain and trauma. She hopes her voice to help create more voices and help protect wolves and wildlife in our ecosystem.
