This is a practice I return to most mornings before the day begins pulling at me.
It’s simple, but it steadies everything.
It helps me feel connected — not in an abstract, lofty way — but in a way that reminds me I’m both supported from above and rooted below. Held and grounded at the same time.
How the meditation unfolds
We begin by imagining a soft white light descending from above. Not harsh. Not dramatic. Just clear and steady.
It enters through the crown of the head and slowly moves down through the body — through the face, the throat, the chest, the belly, the legs — all the way to the soles of the feet. As it travels, it brings a sense of spaciousness and quiet clarity. Almost like opening windows inside yourself.
Then the focus shifts downward.
From the earth beneath you, a rich green energy rises gently through the feet and up through the body. It feels grounding, nourishing, steady. Where the white light feels expansive, this feels anchoring.
The two meet within you — sky and soil, light and root — and for a few moments you simply sit in that balance.
What this practice supports
• A feeling of spiritual connection without losing your footing in everyday life
• A steadier nervous system before the day begins
• A sense of being supported rather than braced
• Emotional balance and clearer thinking
• A daily reset that helps you move through the world with more intention
I often think of it as energetic hygiene. Just as we wash our bodies, we can also clear and settle our inner world before stepping into emails, conversations, and responsibilities.
Why I practise it daily
When I don’t take this time, I feel more reactive. More scattered. More pulled outward.
When I do, I feel aligned — in my body, in my thoughts, in my choices.
It’s not about reaching some mystical state. It’s about remembering who you are before the noise begins.
If you’re looking for something grounding but still quietly expansive, something that connects you to both the earth beneath your feet and the wider rhythm of life, this is a beautiful place to start.
A few minutes. A little light. A little root.
And then you begin your day.
Journal Prompts - Connection Meditation
* Reflect on your experience of visualising the radiant shaft of white light entering through your crown chakra. How did this imagery make you feel? Did you notice any physical sensations or emotional shifts as the light filled your body? Write about the sense of spiritual connection and insight you experienced.
* During the meditation, you drew in the rich, nurturing green energy from the Earth. How did this grounding energy affect your sense of stability and resilience? Describe the sensations you felt as the green energy mingled with the white light within you.
* Consider a time in your life when you felt out of balance, either spiritually or physically. How might incorporating the practice of merging celestial and earth energies help you achieve greater harmony and balance? Reflect on specific areas of your life where you seek this balance.
* Visualise the process of energetic cleansing described in the meditation. What "psychic debris" do you feel needs to be washed away from your daily life? How can you use this meditation practice to rejuvenate your spirit and maintain a sense of clarity and well-being?
* After completing the meditation, take a moment to journal about any insights or guidance you received from aligning with the divine white light and grounding green energy. How can you integrate these insights into your daily life to cultivate spiritual growth and emotional stability? Write a plan for incorporating this meditation practice into your routine.
These prompts aim to deepen your reflection and connection to the meditation practice, supporting your journey towards spiritual alignment, grounding, and overall well-being. Happy journaling!
