According to the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE), the emergence of new technologies such as 5G creates significant benefits and potential use cases for many industries. Due to the rapid development of civil technologies and the military’s dependency on civil solutions, e.g., for military movement, 5G will inevitably reach the military and affect day-to-day operations. Therefore, all relevant parties involved need to be ready to address both the opportunities and risks that will arise with 5G.
