Connor Bailey graduated with Full-time Web Development Cohort 30.
In 2011 I received my Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on transportation engineering. The parts of the curriculum that I found most enjoyable were the opportunities to utilize MATLAB to analyze large sets of traffic data. I enjoyed the ability to combine problem solving and computer programming.
Years later, while stationed at the Marine Corps' Training and Education Command as a data analyst, I was once again presented the opportunity to utilize computer programming to analyze information and solve problems. While I mostly used Visual Basic and Access SQL at work, in my spare time I pursued an online course in Python. Once again, I found using these tools to be the most satisfying part of my job.
After separating from the military I wanted to find a job that allowed me to continue my education in programming and solve complex problems. My goal is to continue my education in software development and also pursue learning opportunities related to computer programming and data analytics.
