BONUS EPISODE with Conor O’Brian (@conor.obrian). Conor is a friend of mine and loves life generally and in the past 5 years has found his passion in bicycle riding. He’s good, too. For the past two winters, Conor has been training in the winter on Maui for a packed season of races on the mainland. I visited him back in February ahead of his scheduled 192 mile ride around the island and up the 10,000’ volcano, Haleakala, to fundraise for @imuafamily and help kids in crisis on Maui. Some spoilers ahead: Not only did he crush the ride (over an hour ahead of schedule), he crushed his fundraising goal and with some awesome donation-matching raised over $31,000 for @imuafamily - unreal! I am proud of this fella and know you will enjoy listening to our conversations in this podcast episode. We spoke in person before his ride in Maui and then a couple of weeks later over Zoom after he completed the ride.
