Cephas, a Christian hip-hop artist and promoter who got his start in 2002 carving out a reputation for himself as a go-to producer for combining vintage vibes with modern sonics. His soulful jazzy productions garnished the attention of some of CHH’s elite including Datin, Bizzle, Selah The Corner, Social Club, KB, Tedashi, and others. As a DJ Cephas has had the privilege of backing NF at Creationfest, and also co-hosted as a DJ for KB, Tedashi, Thousand Foot Krutch, and the Jabbawockeez dance crew with Nick Hall for the Pulse Cleveland Crusade.

Artistically, he blends styles and pushes boundaries combining the vintage vibes of 90’s Hip Hop, the aggressive build-ups & drops of modern Dubstep, with the deep grooves of Jazz/Funk fusion. Today we will discuss his back story, the state of Christian Hip-Hop, and why we believe it’s so important that Christians stop participating in the beast system.

Quick disclaimer: we will be using the abbreviation CHH to replace christian hip-hop bc 1) that’s what the cool kids say & 2) it rolls off the tongue easier. So without further ado...

There ain’t nobody quite like this comfortable in his Christlikeness...welcome to the show, Cephas!
