Welcome to Conscious Growth 

 We all have, on some level, a sense of presence - most people assume their work speaks for itself but managing your brand, your presence and how you come across is key in the workplace.  How does what you say and how you behave actually land with the people you are interacting with? How intentional are you in your communication? How do you want to be seen? What feedback have you sought? Your presence is both verbal and non-verbal and quite often, many of us are not very aware of how we are actually being received (be it in a meeting on a zoom call or in person, presenting to, emailing etc).

In this session, we discuss some of the things people can think about in order to become more intentional about their presence and hopefully have a greater impact on their audiences with the outcomes they are hoping to achieve. 

Welcome to Conscious Growth, this is our 13th podcast - no matter where we are on the globe, Covid 19 has impacted us all in one way or another. The whole working landscape changed in March 2019 and we had to spend time adjusting to a virtual workplace, familiarising ourselves with new technology, it was a very different approach to meetings and touch bases; working in a virtual world worked well for some - however, for others, it represented a whole new level of pressure and stress. 

As restrictions ease and offices re-open, a hybrid working model is likely; some working days in the office and some, working from home. 

In this podcast we chat through some of the lessons learnt over this period of huge change, the impact it has had on many and we discuss some of the possible pros and cons of re-entering the workplace. As always, we want to make our podcast useful, so we have shared some skills insights that we are hoping listeners will find useful to think about when they are making their own transition back into the office. 

Welcome to Conscious Growth, this is our 12th podcast and in this one, we discuss emotional intelligence. 

Emotions are everywhere - in fact, emotions guide every decision we make, we are nearly always in an emotion (even when we are trying to be emotionless!), we may not show emotion but our bodies are secreting hormones and we are constantly interpreting the world around us, perceiving and assessing it and experiencing a sensation - an emotion   We know that emotions drive our behaviour and guide every decision we make - however they can also get in the way and so, understanding our emotional intelligence is paramount in realising our best selves. Emotional Intelligence is a set of emotional and social skills that collectively establish how well we perceive and express ourselves, how we develop and maintain relationships, how we cope with challenges and use emotional information in a meaningful and effective way. 

Welcome to Conscious Growth, this is our 11th podcast and in this episode we invited Sheane Keane onto the podcast to discuss Mindfulness. Our lives are busy and never more has it been so important to take care of ourselves and focus on our own well-being. The word Mindfulness is in vogue, we hear it all the time, however many of us aren’t clear on what it is and what it isn’t, so we thought it would be interesting to explore it in a bit of detail; why it’s important, what it does and how it can help us. On this podcast Sheana demystifies Mindfulness, she shares just a tiny bit of her vast experience, some stories and lots of insightful nuggets.

Welcome to Conscious Growth, this is our ninth podcast. We originally set out to create a library of podcasts that we could refer clients to - or a reference library that would serve as a useful series of stand-alone podcasts for individuals who don't avail of coaching or training. The intention is to provide listeners with tools, techniques and insights that will be useful for them to apply in their own lives. This one is different. We want to speak to business owners, HRBPs and Learning & Development functions. Covid has had a huge impact on the workplace and as remote working has become a must, we believe that if nothing changes, there are worrying trends that businesses will benefit from paying attention to. In this podcast we cover four key pillars; Competency, Mental Health, Transactional vs Relationships and Culture - we share what we are noticing and provide some suggestions as to how we think they can be addressed.

During these times of Covid and forced lockdown, the landscape for all of us has changed dramatically and our ability to deal with our new circumstances varies from person to person. Resilience is the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties, change or setbacks - some of us seem naturally resilient and bounce back quickly and some of us just don't. The good news is that one's capacity for resilience can be developed. In this podcast, we chat through the what, why and how of resilience - we discuss the consequences of not being resilient and how important it is to develop, we cover the four pillars in detail: physical, emotional, mental & spiritual, and chat through tips and techniques that will help you to become more purposeful about taking care of yourself, building your social tribe, developing your problem solving skills and maintaining a positive outlook. 

Welcome to Conscious Growth, this is our seventh podcast and it's all about changing roles. Whether you have been promoted internally into a new role, or have a new role as a result of a restructure or indeed if you have come into a new org  from 'the outside' (or another situation) - either which way, it can be both exciting and daunting - and so being prepared and setting yourself up for success is a must. In this podcast, we chat through the importance of understanding your key transition challenges, being clear on the expectations of you in the new role, on where your new focus needs to be, the things (skills) you need to value at this level and being clear about the things you should probably let go of.  We discuss how important it is to put a plan together and provide you with some tips on how you can go about it.

Conflict is inevitable and shouldn't be avoided, it just needs to be managed. Typically, conflict happens when we have a difference of opinion or conflicting perspectives - in this podcast, we chat through both external and internal conflict and provide you with some practical tips to support you in moving forward; be it having a difficult conversation with someone, or having a conversation with yourself to make sense of, and manage your own internal dialogue or story. 

Welcome to Conscious Growth, this is our fifth podcast and it's all about stress in work. Stress is inevitable, we all experience it, the key is to not let it go on for a prolonged period of time - so we need to figure out where our stress is coming from and to develop strategies on how to best alleviate or manage it. This podcast is about understanding what stress is, why we get stressed and how we respond to it - we share some of our own stories and have included some practical tips on what you can do to better manage your own stress and support others when they are experiencing it.
