Huff had criticized DeLuca's online presence, to which she responded by revealing his messages and highlighting his marital status. Huff, divorced since 2017, has previously made controversial remarks about marriage and women. He retired from baseball in 2014 and had faced a Twitter suspension for spreading COVID-19 misinformation.
