In 2021, the UPSR exam and Form Three Assessment (PT3) were discontinued to move away from standardised testing in favour of classroom-based assessments or Pentaksiran Bilik Darjah (PBD). Despite this transition, some parents and educators have expressed apprehension over the effectiveness of PBD.
