Consistent Commitment Pt 4: Do you already have what you’re asking for?
Matthew 21:21-22
“ Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. 22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.””
Luke 17:21-22
“nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is in your midst.”[a] 22 Then he said to his disciples, “The time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it.”
When you are looking to be consistently committed you need to make sure that you are not asking for something that you already have. When asking God for help in staying committed you need to remember that nothing happens overnight and that what you’re asking for you could already have.
