Part 18- This is the epilogue for the weekly reading from my first book "The Constant Procession."

It includes reflections I gleaned during the writing of the book and the feelings I experienced while visiting apparition sites where the Madonna has appeared.

At her encouragement during her appearances, people have experienced feelings of Faith and Hope and of Comfort and Encouragement that is so lacking in the world today.

Also while working on publishing the weekly podcast over the past three months, I found that the global challenges of the day found solutions from the Holy Mother's apparition guidance to seers in times past.

And it is my hope that you have found inspiration in the words she shared across the vastness of time and space while visiting humanity.

I also preview what's coming up with regards to the launch of my new book "Canal of Light."

It's all here on Constant Procession, the podcast.

I hope you have enjoyed this memoir that includes how I came to write about the approved apparitions of the Virgin Mary.

NOTE: These final chapters were written before this current protracted war between Russia and the Ukraine. The time period I wrote about began in 1922 when the Ukraine was totally controlled by the USSR. In 1991, the USSR broke into the numerous independent countries that included Russia and the Ukraine. Russia became the most powerful country in the region.

Chapter 28 continues to describe this earlier time when the "Union of Soviet Socialist Republics" (USSR) existed- 1922 through its destruction in 1991.

A period when Ukrainian churches were under siege by the anti-religious Communist. However, it was Ukrainian Immigrants to North America who kept these Christian churches alive in this diaspora.

The final chapter is about apparition sites where the Virgin Mary has appeared. They offer hope for a timeless mode of being for those in this constant procession . . .

Medjugorje, does not come to mind as a vacation spot. But it has inspired visiting pilgrims to spread the Madonna's words.

For young people, who have not lived more than thirty years, this area of the world is typically not on their radar. For those who have lived a bit longer, there remains a dark mental imprint. A remembrance that recalls brutality inflicted on people within this region as they experienced civil war in the 1990's. Fighting caused by the breaking up of Yugoslavia.

For me, the news reporting during that period of the civil war did little to help explain the confusing jumble of puzzling information that ominously included atrocities, genocide and war crimes.

Yet this area is where the Madonna appeared. She offered to the world a surprising counterpoint to humanities deeds. It's amazing to me that even during that civil war pilgrims from around the world continued to converge on Medjugorje, which seemed to be located in the middle of the warfare.

The Virgin Mary appears at Medjugorje in Yugoslavia (now Bosnia and Herzegovina) in June 1981. Her earliest messages reinforce Gospel teachings by Christ on ways to live:

"Love God and Neighbors, Faith, Prayer and Fasting."

"These are how a person can "return to God" and enjoy the "fullness of life."

Meanwhile a Pope and a President find renewed clarity of purpose as they recover from assassination attempts and continue to live on the "pointy edge of the sword."

The Communist Governments in Poland and East Germany become the focus of their attention.

Time Magazine's proclaims 'God is Dead.' Situations around the world seem to prove it. Riots across the USA over the Viet Nam War and Racial Injustice… A '6-Day War' in the Middle East. This history seems strangely current.

But it was also at that time when the Virgin Mary decided to appear in Egypt… And became a welcomed symbol of Peace.

Part 12- This is the twelfth installment of my 1st book "The Constant Procession."

You're hearing it for free from cover to cover in 15-minute podcast segments this summer . . .

This installment continues at the end of WWI, Those who died on the battlefields were the best and brightest of their generation.

The toll and mourning for those young men held a seldom remembered additional burden beyond family tragedy. For the world at large their deaths created a vacuum of natural leaders across all countries.

Nihilism filled that leadership void. The weaker replacements ushered in the attitude that "anything goes." The "Roaring Twenties" lead to the "Great Depression." WWII started and began to repeat the deadly cycle.

But then, a Marian apparition from long ago broke the spiral. Bringing defiance to the deadly conflict through a phenomenon known as "Our Lady of the Great Return."

It brought people hope and became an 'endless procession' as people marched behind a very special statue of the Virgin Mary across France . . .

Chapter 18 continues with the apparitions at Our Lady of Lourdes when she appears to Bernadette Soubirous in the year 1858.
