Further Lesson from Mark 14
She brought an offering that communicated her value for her Lord, not leftovers or a portion. How we see Him will determine what we gift Him. The world wants us to be conservative, but Jesus called us to be radical. She gave all of it, reserving nothing for herself. She lived in the moment and didn't reserve any for another day - This is what worship really is.She anointed Jesus and Jesus alone - although there were many people in the room, She was only concerned with Jesus. In worship, we are to give ourselves completely - withholding nothing, no restraint. We shouldn't allow our fear of tomorrow to make us compromise on our love for God or our obedience to Him.
If Jesus is your all then what are you keeping from Him? Is He truly worthy of your worship and your offering and your all? What is holding you back from Jesus, are you really giving your all, or have you kept some for tomorrow? Are you afraid of tomorrow - are you afraid of the unknown? Are you becoming conservative when He's called you to be radical?
