God’s Major Issues with Israel:

1)     Their contempt for God’s altar. – 1:6-14

2)     Their contempt for God’s glory. – 2:1-3

3)     Their contempt for God’s law. – 2:4-9

Main Problem: The priests. It is their responsibility to guard the sanctuary from defilement and to inspect all sacrifices (Mal. 1:8; Lev. 22:17-25; Deut. 15:21, 17:1).
