Contender # 19 - The Van Meter Visitor

This time, on Counting Cryptids:

We pander to, yet another, festival audience as we cover our first local crypid, the Van Meter Visitor. For one chilling week in 1903, a tall, humanoid creature with large, bat-like wings, and a single horn atop its head (which emits a brilliant light), terrorized this small Iowa town, leaving mostly broken windows, and bad smells in its wake. This, seemingly nocturnal, being has been shot by nearly everyone in town, but never once seemed phased. Is this an unknown or forgotten species? Is it a fourth dimensional entity? Is it the Mothman, spotted 60 years before the events in West Virginia? We don't know, but come listen anyway!
