Chogyam Trungpa, “Ordinarily, trusting in your world means that you expect to be taken care of or to be saved. You think that the world will give you what you want- or at least what you expect. But as a warrior (spiritual seeker), you are willing to take a chance; you are willing to expose yourself to the phenomenal world, and you trust that it will give you a message, either of success or failure.
Those messages are regarded neither as punishment nor as congratulation. You trust, not in success, but in reality (god)... Whatever the result that comes from your action, that result is not an end in itself: it is a seed for a further journey.”
