    “A feeling of satisfaction”

Having peace and hope in the moment, regardless of the moment

I’ll be satisfied when my life is “filled more” with ______________________

Chasing contentment becomes a disappointment trap when we believe the “fill-more” lie.

“So my counsel is: Don’t worry about things-food, drink, and clothes. For you already have life and a body-and they are far more important than what to eat and wear.”

    Matthew 6:25

“Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?”

    Mathew 6:27

“So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear…

    Matthew 6:31

These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs.

    Matthew 6:32

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”

    Matthew 6:32

Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything.

    Philippians 4:11-13

I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

    Philippians 4:11-13

Connection to Christ gives us a peace and a hope that allows for contentment in all of our moments.

    Pleasure and pain are temporary

Our power to control is limited

God cares and is in control

What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?

    Romans 8:31-32

Contentment doesn’t come from consumption, it comes from connection to Jesus.
