How do we view time?

A progressions of seconds, minutes, days, months, years…

  • chronos

    • OR…

    A season of opportunity

    • kairos

      • Kairos

      • Greek: καιρός
      • No direct English equivalent
        • The right time
        • The critical time
        • The opportune moment
        • Implies, not the convenience of the season, but the necessity of the time at hand.
        • “Kairos is when eternity steps into time”

          • 1 Corinthians 7

          • A difficult passage that essentially asks: Have we made the most of every opportunity?

            • Kairos moments sometimes appear as a:

            Speed Bump

            • Something to slow us down and cause us to consider.

              • Window

              • Something that allows us to see the world in a new way.

                • Mirror

                • An introspective look at ourselves.

                  • Wall

                  • Something that brings us to our knees.
