Taped interview with husband-and-wife country music duo Jim & Hazel McGlasson, discussing their career and playing some tunes from their albums A Real Friend of Mine, Silk & Lace, and Bluegrass in My Eyes. Born in south central Missouri, Jim McGlasson was heavily influenced by the sound of Ernest Tubb and had a country singing career that lasted for several decades until his passing in 2009.
This is an interview I did with Jim and Hazel on May 8, 2005 on Music City USA, the classic country music radio show I was hosting at the time on station WRVU Nashville 91.1 FM. It was recorded at the WRVU studio in the basement of Vanderbilt University's Sarratt Student Center. I apologize for the quality of the sound on some parts of the interview, since this broadcast was recorded on a cassette tape that I have recently found.
