Melissa Adams was diagnosed at the age of 31 with genetic breast cancer. She is the author of the book called Behind the Pink Ribbon and also has a podcast by the same name. She is also a wicked cool dragon boat paddler for over 10 years and is now the coach of the breast cancer survivor dragon boat team in Phoenix, AZ- Phoenix Desert Dragons.
