He is a proponent of research and development of Thorium reactors which may be a preferable option to the nuclear reactors we use today. Way over my head but it was very interesting and I loved talking with him. 

 

We also got into Crypto, aliens, NASA, weed and the possibility of me becoming a refugee to Florida.
