Real Reading Talk

Conversation with world traveler and author Taye Uhuru!

Listen Later

Been around the world ya ya yaaa! That's the first thing that comes to mind when I think about the conversation I had with brotha Taye Uhuru. It was such an engaging discussion he and I had in which one of the things he casually said is that he's been to 70+ countries! Of course his travels did not start as an adult it all started with his foundation of being raised by his parents in the inner city and suburbs of Cleveland,Ohio and having to move around alot and his mother working for the Greyhound bus station allowed him to get outside of Cleveland at a very early age. These rich experiences, having a close knit family that valued education and love of Black history was the gateway into Taye writing his first book entitled The Afro Set Black Nationalist. What you need to do is make sure you grab your notebooks and pens because Taye is dropping the gems that we need to help us get rid of the fear and develop the mindset that is needed, to help create the culture of literacy that we once had in the Black community.

You can find and follow Taye Uhuru on all of the social media platforms. Also click the link to his website to purchase his book The Afro Set Black Nationalist.
