It’s a stilted conversation\
between two unpracticed souls
both are sharing reservations
shyness is hard to control
but loneliness just eats a hole
that only love can help console
The approach it is the hardest
the distance truly is the farthest
just to share a chance for sweet romance
by voicing feelings you’ve both harnessed
But the rewards of those courageous
enough to dare to even stage this
can erase life’s empty pages
as it has down through the ages
It does not require style
sometimes it only takes a smile
and a glance that lingers hungrily
for more than just a while.
It requires shedding fear that stirs
a braveness in both him and her
then marvelous wonders can occur
bringing love the only cure.

offered as a token
to ease any hearts
that have been left broken
and you may be chosen
“Hello, I saw you sitting there
and I thought maybe we could share
some conversation and a drink, “
some kind words like this can form a link
and she might gladly with a smile
tell you to join her for a little while
as she tells all about her world
but she won’t tell you she’s a lonely girl
and one thing you can’t be missing
if you ever hope for kissing
those quite lovely, tempting, ruby lips
is that you’d better sit and listen.
Cause even shy girls long for someone
who hangs on their every word
and shy guys should gaze into her eyes
staring at their feet’s absurd
talking back to them’s preferred
Showing interest in all that they do
Complimenting what they wear
I once dated a shy girl for months
when I said, “I liked her hair.”
it was all I had to share
and I won her love right there.
Shy folks keep it sweet and simple
every time they dare to meet
and maybe that’s the secret
talking to much brings defeat.
Talk to her with just your eyes
let her see how much you need
her eyes to look back at you the same
and most likely you’ll succeed
but if you fail don’t ever bail
on trying it again
cause the world is way too full of
unloved women…lonely men

practice in a mirror until you see
the kind of person who most tenderly
with just words sets her sorrow free
leaving two no more lonely
it’s quite easy if you be
the him or her they sorely need
to make their love and life complete.
Then get off your chair go out and meet
all the lonely souls, then dare to greet
them with control, be kind or sweet
and loneliness will fall beneath.....
