I had a pressing question and I enlisted the help of my former Afro Studies Professor Dean John Young. Dean Young is now retired from Wittenberg and working in the Springfield City Schools, a member of the NAACAP, and a true teacher at the core of his being. He helped me to understand the importance of organizing and the strength in numbers. I brought him on the show to ask him, "Why as black people have we fought so hard to be part of white spaces when time and time again all we do is enhance and elevate anything that we are part of? Why wast the time and energy to be "included"?"
