For the first time in 13 years there are no Spanish clubs in the finals of the Champions League and the Tika Taka style of play is not producing results. Barcelona lost heavily and City were swept away by a mid range club. Some football analysts say that the Spanish style can not cope with the speed and intensity of the modern game.
