Dr. Philpott is an accomplished family physician, educator, and global health champion. She is a former Member of Parliament and served as Minister of Health for the Government of Canada. Prior to her work in politics, Dr. Philpott practised as a family doctor for 30 years and spent the first decade of her career in Niger, West Africa. She was appointed dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and director of the School of Medicine at Queen’s University in July 2020.
