Amy Chan: Breakup Bootcamp

There is an old adage: breaking up is hard to do.  According to Amy Chan, while breaking up can be painful, the heartbreak can be transformed into healing. With a dose of tough love, Amy offers advice that can help anyone turn their greatest heartbreak into a powerful opportunity for growth. Amy is the founder of Renew Breakup Boot Camp, the relationship magazine Just My Type, and she runs a private coaching business in New York City. She blogs for the Huffington Post, and is the author of the new book, Breakup Bootcamp: The Science of Rewiring Your Heart.

Katherine Moore: One Step Further

Katherine Johnson was an American mathematician who was one of NASA's human "computers" and an unsung hero of the space agency's early days. Her calculations of orbital mechanics were critical to the success of the first and subsequent U.S. crewed spaceflights. Katherine was among the women profiled in the book and movie Hidden Figures. Her daughter, Katherine Moore, discusses her mother’s achievements and her drive to break down gender and racial barriers so that her daughters — and millions of other young women — could reach for the stars as she did. Katherine, her sister, Joylette, and their mother, Katherine, coauthored the book One Step Further: My Story of Math, the Moon, and a Lifelong Mission.
