Today I talked with Captain Johnathan Branch and Sergeant Airey Moore of the Metropolitan Police Department(MPD) of Washington, DC. We talked of the MPD cadet program, which gives young people the opportunity for education, and a promising career in the police department. Both officers shared heartfelt accounts of how this program, and the police department as a whole, has positively affected the lives of themselves and others.
Any young people (Ages 17-24) who may be interested in a new promising career path visit www.mpd.dc.gov to apply for the cadet program. High school children in this age range are welcomed as well.
