Dr. Clover A. Perez sat down to talk to Jacinta Hunt about the documentary of her life, Jacinta, Hope Cannot Be Confined, featured on HULU, ABC, and Disneyplusca. Filmed over three years, JACINTA begins at the Maine Correctional Center where Jacinta, 26, and her mother, Rosemary, 46, are incarcerated together, both recovering from drug addiction. As a child, Jacinta began entangled in her mother's world of drugs and crime and has followed her in and out of the carceral system since she was a teenager. 

In recent years, men have begun to push back against traditional gender stereotypes. This movement is known as "evolved manhood." An Evolved Man is a man who has conquered his own emotional, spiritual, and personal growth and takes responsibility for his life. A man who can communicate his emotions is true to his word, takes action, and lives with integrity. An evolved man longs to see his woman radiant and genuinely happy. If she isn't thrilled about her everyday life, he won't be either. Not because she's responsible for his feelings but because she's not, but because the second best gift she could ever give him is her own authentic happiness.
