Conversion therapy is not therapy. It is a practice built on a false premise — that a person’s sexual orientation or identity is a disorder to be corrected.

Major medical organizations, including the World Health Organization, the American Psychiatric Association, and the American Psychological Association, have made clear that diverse sexual orientations are part of the natural spectrum of human identity. There is no credible scientific evidence that “conversion” practices work — and substantial evidence that they cause harm.

In this episode, we explore why it is necessary to prohibit by law all forms of so-called conversion therapy. We examine the mental health consequences, the institutional risks of allowing pseudoscience in healthcare, and the broader question of public trust.

This is not about ideology. It is about governance, evidence-based medicine, and human dignity.
