If you're one of His you will have conviction because God tells you of the wrong you've done.

The life David is a perfect example of a life of a Christian and conviction. Thru the trials of his life he went and did many sinful things. Sin after sin after sin David committed repeatedly. Once conviction finally hit him he fell upon his face for repentance.
