With Conan O'Brien stepping away from late night television, it's hard not to think of a particular public debacle he endured in his career, and from there, it's easy to go back to the late night TV rivalry that spanned 20+ years. It started with the retirement of the King of Late Night Johnny Carson and it settles this week in the Convince Me Courtroom. It's the assumed "heir apparent" to the Tonight Show throne battling the surprising replacement, it's NBC dueling CBS, for one last time, it's Jay Leno against David Letterman!
