Cool Takes

let's get this bread

Okay before you listen you have to promise to be normal about it. An unexpectedly on-brand episode about a recent release, in this ep we cover the thematic content of Joker Folie á Deux, as well as Joker One, the color grading of Deadpool and Wolverine, and a long rant about Megalopolis.

Statistically Average Noise more like. Tune in for discussions on streaming bloat, 80's commercialism, and whether or not Adam Driver was popular among teens. Join us as Jackson fulfills his destiny as the fabled Guy Who's Read the Book.

It's showtime. No tangents, no bullshit, just Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice. See the movie. Tim Burton washed? Answers within. Mars Attacks, y/n? Only Kezia has seen it. Jackson doesn't like legacy sequels anymore.

Have you guys ever noticed that the films of M. Night Shyamalan are not often critically well-received? Hear us make this observation for the hundredth time today on The Cool Takes Podcast, the only bad movie podcast about how M. Night Shyamalan is good actually. Come on in for first concert stories, takes on Josh Hartnett and Seleka Shyamalan, Trampoline Fails Compilations, and nostalgia for the facebook of a bygone era.

Join us for a nostalgic adventure! Adeline explains why The Fabelmas fits the premise of our show, actually, Jackson does a pretty good David Lynch impression, Kezia talks about her childhood home movies, and The cool takes gang invents a new beloved Cool Takes character: French Guy Who Doesn't Like A Spielberg Movie

Two weeks sure is a long time, huh? The Cool takes Podcast is BACK, finally completing the triumvirate of weird movies Kezia watched as a kid with A.I. Artificial Intelligence. There is NO talk of genenrative AI in this ep, ONLY Steve Spielberg and his good movie about a miserable little boy whose mom doesn't love him. Come for chats about Haley Joel Osment, Brendan Gleeson, Roger Ebert, and Stevey Spielberg, stay for conversations about mortality and impressions of Colin Farrell in In Bruges.

In the Planet of the Apes either you win or you die is I think the quote. From The Planet of the Apes. Cool Takes is back on a brand new bi-weekly upload schedule! we're taking it sleazy and talking about the biggest movie of the summer so far (as of time of recording), Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. This return has been a long time coming. Join us for talk about the entire Apes franchise! Is it good? Kinda!

A surprisingly focused episode about The Menu! A movie that is simultaneously awesome and deeply stupid. Watch us grapple!
