D2 dives into Police pay and property taxes. Why are they both going up? We've talked many times on this show about the shortage of officers statewide. Last year Mayor Mendenhall announced a 30% raise for entry level officers and 12% raise for senior-level officers. Police Departments are competing right now... stealing officers away from other departments by offering better pay. Mayor Mike Weichers of Cottonwood Heights joins the conversation.
