What if you had to write copy for a niche, topic, or subculture you’re just not connected with?
This is a very real problem.
And I think it comes up pretty often — especially if you’re in an agency or similar situation where you’re in even less control over who you’re writing for.
… Then again, I think pretty much ALL of us copywriters have taken on a project or two from a client where we’re really not a fit for their market, just because they had money to give us.
(I know I have.)
Anyway, I had a subscriber ask this.
We’ll call her J. She said she’s writing in the motorcycle market. And she’s not a biker… Or motorcyclist… Or whatever they call themselves!
In today’s episode I share my reply and how I’d handle this challenge.
