Ephesians‬ ‭1:18‬ ‭

“I pray that the EYES OF YOUR HEART may be enlightened”

“heart-“ The very center and CORE of your being.

Paul prayed that we perceive with our eyes but we see with our hearts.

Seeing from the heart has to do with what we believe

The things we believe to be true determine the way in which we interpret life.

These “things” are called “core values.”

Core values are the lens or eyes of our heart.

Core Values:

1 QUALITY- do everything with a bit of excellence

2 Timothy 2:15

“DO YOUR BEST to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.”

2 HONESTY - be real

II Corinthians 8:21

For we aim at what is HONORABLE not only in the Lord's sight but also in the sight of man.

3 DRIVE- never settle

Philippians 3:13

“This one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and REACHING forward to those things which are ahead,”

4 LOVE - unconditionally

Matthew 22:37-39

37 “Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall LOVE the lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall LOVE your neighbor as yourself.’”

5 UNITY - family

John 17:21

“That they may all be ONE, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”

Robert Kennedy said, "Some people see things as they are. I try to see things as they could be."
