In the Beginning, God.

1). God is good. 2). God is self-giving. 3). God is gracious.

Meeting the Returning King: 1). The inescapable justice of God. 2). The mercy of the King. 3). How you come to the King determines everything.

Three attributes of God revealed in the creation account: He is Creator, Powerful, and Orderly.

In 2 Samuel we see David faithfully trust God and His sovereignty, pointing us to the faithfulness of Jesus who was exiled for our sin to the cross.

Be profitable for the kingdom by avoiding division, addressing it when it arises, and supporting gospel work beyond your local church.

Believers should do good to others because of who we were before Christ, because God has washed and is renewing us, and because our justification is already complete.

Believers should live godly lives because of Christ's first coming, His promised return, and the cross that purchased both our forgiveness and holiness.

1.) Sin shows itself in our culture. 2.) Sin shows itself most clearly in our families. 3.) Sin leaves scars on our lives. 4.) We must be rescued from sin by the redeeming love of God.

Sound doctrine must be "worn" through godly living in every relationship to make the Gospel attractive to the world.

1.) False belief can be sinful. 2.) False beliefs lead to wrong living. 3.) Therefore, elders should rebuke false teachers.
