Cornwall has featured in many of my posts so far but I felt like I just needed to make a video as the region is an incredible subject for any kind of photography and using a drone just allows for a completely new vantage point.

Tin and copper mining was also a key export for the county in the Iron Age. From the air, you can really appreciate the scale of some of the locations and operations including some which we perilously close to the edge of cliffs!

Speaking of which, the Minack theatre was once someones back garden that they freely chose to carve out the side of the cliff.

As you can imagine, fishing was once a huge generator of income and part of the culture...that was until Brexit laws changed how much of the sea the local fisherman could cast their nets in resulting in a downward spiral of diminishing stocks and returns for the communities. So much so that is is now cheaper for restuarants in the area to use salmon from Norway and have it shipped over than use local caught. That's as much as I will get into the politics...

The various Quoits in the area are Dolmens or megalithic tombs. Lanyon is estimated to have been constructed around 3500–2500 BC.
