In this episode, we’ll talk about all that’s going on with the global Coronavirus pandemic and how at first we didnt take it too seriously because we were not so confident in all the news we were seeing and reading from the different news outlets. Some of our friends felt it was a conspiracy, others were blaming Trump and the government, while others thought the media was blowing the whole thing out of proportion, but it got real for us when schools were closed and other events cancelled.
We’ve observed people buying up groceries and other basic stuff to stockpile them in their homes and at some point we realized we had to do it too just for our family’s survival because things have just been going downhill every 24 hours. The one thing we’re going to highlight though, is the fact that we’re all going through this together. Personally, I had met with three potential buyers for the bakery just a week ago, but with all the rumors making rounds, I had to close the bakery on the 16th and lay off my staff. Two staff members had even already left because they were scared for their lives.
It’s been one problem after the next, but at the end of the day, we just keep appreciating that we're safe, and we're healthy. Nobody gets to complain at our house. Our kids are taking their school classes online, and I just can't imagine what it’s like for those parents who are having to homeschool their kids while also having to work or do other important things at the same time. At the end of the day, we all just have to do the best that we can through this, and find the blessings in this current situation, because when you have a roof over your head, and food to eat and drink, then you’re super lucky, because there are people out there who have it worse.
We challenge you to have some compassion and lend a hand to those in need in whatever way you can, and together let’s push ourselves to quarantine in our homes so we can flatten the Coronavirus curve and come out victorious. Listen in to the episode and share with as many people as possible so they can also know that they’re not alone, and don’t forget to join our 30-Day Challenge.
