This is Coronavirus 411, the latest COVID-19 info and new hotspots… Just the facts… for Wednesday July 29th, 2020. The Director of the CDC admitted to ABC news, that the introduction of the virus from Europe, “happened before we realized what was happening”. “That’s where the large seeding came in the United States”. The American Federation of Teacher’s said that if teachers are forced to go back to unsafe classrooms, they may go on strike. Two newly released studies relay that COVID-19 could lead to heart problems even after even a patient has recovered from the virus. Coronavirus Task Force Member Dr. Birx, said Arizona, California, Florida and Texas “have shown significant improvement” after taking steps to reinforce social distancing. 

The Spokesperson for the WHO, has described COVID-19 as one big wave that is not influenced by seasonal trends.   Japan experienced a record number of daily cases Tuesday, with 981.  A new report relays more than half of those living in the slums of Mumbai, India may have contracted the virus, reports CNN. The Indian state West Bengal extends their lockdown through the end of August. The European Commission secured a 74-million-dollar deal with the makers of Remdesivir to treat an estimated 30,000 patients. The UK signed a deal for 60 million doses of Sanofi/GSK’s vaccine candidate.
