For those who ask why we can’t rely on testing alone instead of vaccines, here’s one reason. Australian test kit maker Ellume recalled some at-home tests after learning they were reporting a higher-than-expected number of false positives. The tests went out to U.S. retailers and other distributors from April through August. About 427,000 tests are involved in the recall.
Being a police officer is dangerous. But now, not for the reasons you might think. COVID-19 is now killing more law enforcement officers than any other threat they face in the line of duty. For instance, in Philadelphia, only 13% of police department employees have provided proof of vaccination.

Many performers and athletes are exempt from New York City’s vaccination mandates, and some local politicians are calling it a “double standard” that’s both “astounding” and “infuriating.” The loophole is entertainers can work unvaccinated in the city as long as they aren’t residents of the city.
