- The European Federation for Elevator Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises has published “Basic General Information Note to Work Safely,” a compendium of good practices for safe behavior while working. The guidelines are based on several national protocols and include important information about mask usage, handwashing and more.
- The Elevator & Escalator Division of Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc., headquartered in Cypress, California, and the Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation donated US$12,000 to Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization.
- The Illinois Hotel and Lodging Industry has established COVID-19 guidelines, including routinely sanitizing frequently touched surfaces such as elevator buttons, WIFR Channel 23 reports.
- Dubai Metro elevators are now limited to two passengers each, according to The National.
