The Narendra Modi government is working on an economic package to help people, amid the COVID-19 or novel coronavirus crisis, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Tuesday.

Earlier this morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took to Twitter to announce that he would be addressing the nation at 8 pm on Tuesday.

This would be the prime minister’s second address on the novel coronavirus, and comes just days after his first address on Thursday.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) declared the novel coronavirus a global pandemic on March 11.
