This is Coronavirus 411, the latest COVID-19 info and new hotspots… Just the facts… for Thursday April 23rd, 2020. Reviewing new models, many researchers believe most states should not reopen until the end of May. Georgia is set to open some businesses on Friday. President Trump said he felt Georgia was moving too quickly. The Mayor of Atlanta said opening the state now would be “deadly”. A doctor working at a federal agency to help develop a COVID-19 vaccine, says he was removed after questioning hydroxychloroquine, relays The New York Times. Dr. Bright says he will file a Whistleblower complaint with The Department of Health and Human Services. Over 4.4 million filed unemployment claims last week. Montana will lift the stay at home order on Sunday, schools there will have the option to resume in classroom learning on May 7th. Oklahoma will open non-essential businesses on May 1st. 

Greece is extending their lockdown through May 4th.  Chancellor Merkel, cautioned Governors of Germany’s 16 states, against re-opening too quickly. Iran has reported their lowest number of daily cases in a month. Russia has reported a three-day decline of new infections. Vietnam has relaxed social distancing measures after a 6-day decline in cases.
