Apple and Google launched phase 2 of their system to alert people if they might have been exposed to the virus. But even though the tech is being built directly into the phones, states have to adopt this phone-based approach for contact tracing.
The cofounder of Devo and prominent film and TV composer Mark Mothersbaugh revealed he was at Cedars-Sinai hospital, with the coronavirus, and on a ventilator for 18 days. He believes he contracted the virus shuttling between his home and his Sunset Strip studios in late May.
