What we really need to do is care. The reputation of God’s church and His people has taken a hit during the Coronavirus. Some of this is understandable. Gathering in large groups has become potentially dangerous. Doing things that unnecessarily offend others and cause others to unrighteously speak ill of us, is not understandable. Several pastor friends of mine have said that the Coronavirus and its fallout has been kind of like God hitting the reset button on the church. That it is almost like we must rebuild it now. I don’t disagree.

The prophet Nehemiah experienced a similar situation as he stared at the broken-down walls of the city of Jerusalem. God moved in the heart of a man to rebuild something that was broken. It was a great task, but it all started simply with a man, who cared a whole awful lot.
